Obituary of William French
William Joseph French 86, of Washington, NJ died on Monday, January 12th. He was born in Brooklyn. He also lived in his beloved Poconos and in Massachusetts. Bill was married for 50 wonderful years to his best friend, Honey. Before he lost his battle with Alzheimer's; Bill was an avid reader of historical and political issues. He liked to wear his Yankee cap to Fenway Park. He enjoyed golfing and driving his big car but was not very good at either! Bill is survived by his six children and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Bill especially enjoyed the company of his youngest grandchildren, Grace Ann, Leland, Ella and Liam at the Jersey Shore. He will be missed this summer and for many more.
Vistation will be Thursday from 5PM to7PM followed by funeral services at 7PM in The DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington Washington NJ. Bill will be laid to rest beside his wife in Massachusetts.
Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity. Bill was a former volunteer. He wanted everyone to have a chance for a good home.
