Florence M. Matheis 92 of Broadway NJ passed away at her home on Monday September 17, 2007. She was born in Long Island City NY on October 27, 1914. She was the daughter of the late George and Frances Schwamberger. Frances had been a legal Secretary for The Honorable Joseph T. Brennan Esq. In Phillipsburg NJ Her husband, Fred, died in 1976. Memberships: She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Washington NJ. Survivors: A Son George and his wife Charlotte Matheis, 2 grandchildren, Genevieve Bucher and her husband James of Broadway NJ, and George Matheis and his wife Lisa of Aberdeen Md. Great grandchildren, Gracie, Elizabeth, Frankie and Emilie, 2 nieces and a nephew survive her. A sister, Margaret, died earlier. Services: Family and friends are invited to call at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ on Thursday from 8:30-10:30am. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church 200 west Carlton Ave Washington NJ, Interment to follow in the Washington Cemetery, Washington.
