Dear Jeanne and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Tom's passing this week. Dad also died of colon cancer so I know how hard that is. It seems ironic that Tom passed during this Easter season. While I was growing up, Easter was a time when our lives circled around the greenhouse. Mother used to go and stay to help all through Holy Week. She so much enjoyed the close camaraderie we all shared. I so much enjoyed the video. Tom had a full life with loving friends and close family. I very much regret that I currently find myself in Alabama and will not be able to join the celebration of Tom's life. Janie and I wish to offer our thoughts and prayers during this sorrowful time.
Peace and blessings be with you all.
Glen and Janie Allen

Extending deepest sympathies to Jeanne, and Tom's family and to his close friends.
My bond with Tom is as his high school classmate, and especially the 1971 poetry book we published as kids back then: "Roaring Deep Within." He was a wise
and thoughtful fellow already then- as in this part of my favorite poem of his from that book- entitled Morning Flowers- about his grandmother's roses:
Life at times can be as beautiful as the roses with their dew pearls. And sometimes, without being noticeable, friendships can wither and die just as roses without proper care. And just maybe, if all the people of the world would try to be better "gardners", the roses of friendship would bloom again now, and forever.
May we all strive every day now and forever, to be better gardners, in honor and memory of Tom.

Jeanne, Erin, Michael & Glen:
Please accept my deepest condolences. My employer has denied me time off on Friday & Saturday so I will not be joining you all.
Tom joined my circle of friends in Belvidere High School, where Tom, George Lightcap and I went on many adventures - and misadventures. Later, George and I would assist Tom and his parents during holidays in delivering flowers. Tom helped in my research to catalog Warren County's WW2 veterans several years ago by locating honor rolls for Hackettstown, Independence Township and Allamuchy Township. History was one of our common interests. Tom will not be forgotten.
