Susan and Bill Duryea posted a condolence
Monday, May 6, 2019
Dear Carol and family,
Susan and I wish to convey our condolences to you on the passing of Carl.
Since we are now living in TN we will not be able to attend the viewing or funeral, but our thoughts and prayers are with you, and for all of you.
Carl was one of the most dedicated members of the fire department and I know all the members, retired and active, can attest to that dedication. A side note about Carl, that you may not be aware of is that one of Carl's signature characteristic moves was to put his helmet on backwards once the fire was out and we were wrapping things up. We never had to search for long for Carl among the crew...just look for the guy with his helmet on backwards. Funny how this still sticks in my mind. I am sure that there are many other fond memories you all have about him; and I know that they will be with you for the rest of your lives.
God bless you all with peace and comfort in the days and years ahead.
Sincerely,
Bill and Susan Duryea
