Obituary of Gordon J Widenor

Gordon J. Widenor Jr., aka Gordy, 76, of Port Murray, NJ, passed away, after a long, hard fought battle with lung cancer, at his home surrounded by family and his pets . Gordon is survived by his wife Joan (JW) of 37 years; sons Christopher and Brandon Widenor, brother Barry Widenor, sister Sharyn (Widenor) Blum, 3 nieces Dawn and Dana Gizis and Brandi Klinger, three beagles and two cats. Gordon is also preceded in death by his beloved mother Betty (Bush) Widenor, and his dog Nina. Gordon Loved baseball and was a avid Yankee fan. He was a avid hunter, who would always be out the first week of deer season with his cherished Mossberg. He could make you laugh until you cried and have you filled with envy with stories he told of his youth. Gordon was a strong, kind hearted and well loved man who will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ 07882 . A viewing will be on  Monday from 5-8pm in the funeral home. Burial at Summerfield Cemetery.
