Obituary of Wilmont Brink
Wilmont S. ("Bucky") Brink died Saturday, November 24, 2007 in Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, New Jersey. Born November 19, 1923 in Washington, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Walter and Ada Brink. He lived all of his life in Washington, New Jersey. He was the loving husband of Jessie C. Deemer, formerly of Raubsville, PA, who died on January 2, 1999. They were married 45 years. He will forever be remembered as a loving, kind and beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was employed by Ford Furniture of Washington, New Jersey for over 35 years and, after retiring from there, worked part-time for Omnitek in Hackettsown, NJ.
Military: Wilmont served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a trombonist in the Navy Band. Some of his favorite memories were of the time he spent on the U.S.S. New Jersey. Memberships:
Memberships: He was a 70-year member (check) of the Washington United Methodist Church of Washington, New Jersey a former member of its Board of Trustees and Administrative Council and formerly served as Head Usher.
Survivors: He was a loving father and is survived by a daughter, Diane L. May, and her husband Robert of Hope; a son, Nevin W., of Washington; and a son David A., and his wife Nancy, of Robbinsville. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather and is survived by seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Rachel, Amanda, Jason, Sarah, Erin and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Sierra. Wilmont was predeceased by his sisters, Amanda Brink and Mildred Hoffman.
Services: Friends are invited to call Wednesday, November 28 from 10 a.m. to 11 am. at the Washington United Methodist Church, 116 East Washington Avenue, Washington, followed by the funeral service at 11a.m. at the Church. Burial will follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, New Jersey.
