Obituary of Helen Homko
Helen J. Homko, 78, of Oxford, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Easton Hospital, Easton, PA.
Helen was born on February 20, 1934 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Sophie ( nee Hallick) Specht.
Helen was a graduate of Washington High School, Washington, NJ. She was a parshioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Oxford, NJ. She was a member of the Senior's Club, loved flowers, gardening, and going to the Poconos with friends. She was also on the support team on the Oxford Emergency Squad.
She is survived by two sons, Tim Homko of Oxford, NJ, and Steve and wife Mary Homko of Villages, FL, a sister, Katherine Peters, niece, Betsy Specht, nephew, Nick Specht, and several other neices and nephews. She is predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Nicholas, Frederick, and John Specht, and two sisters, Mary Gromlowicz and Anna Specht.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Oxford, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name can be made to the Oxford Emergency Squad, 76 Academy Street, Oxford, New Jersey 07863.
