Obituary of DeWitt Woolverton

Dewitt “Chubb” A. Woolverton, 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his home in Harmony Township, NJ. Dewitt was born May 3, 1930 in Harmony Twp, NJ a son of the late Dewitt C. and the late Anna (Woolf) Woolverton. He loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed farming and caring for animals. Dewitt was a member of the Montana United Methodist Church. Survivors: Dewitt is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Doris (Heinrich) Woolverton of Harmony Township, NJ; his three sons, Donald of Pen Argyl, PA, Dwayne and Dale of Easton, PA; two daughters, Diane Williams of E. Stroudsburg, PA and Donna Miksch of Harmony Twp, NJ; a brother, Donald W. Woolverton of Bangor, PA and a sister Emma Watkins of Mt. Bethel, PA; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Zachary, Zane, Travis, Jamie, and Jenna. Dewitt was predeceased by his sister Virginia Godfrey. Services: Friends may call Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately after the service in Montana Cemetery, Harmony Twp.Online condolences may be expressed at www.devoefuneral.com.
