Obituary of John Smallman

John Edwin Smallman, 80, of Washington, NJ, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the Rolling Hills Nursing Home, Clinton Township, NJ. John was born in Manchester, England, a son of the late Herbert Edwin and the late Alice (Maude) Smallman. John was in the Royal Guard. He played rugby, and loved American football and baseball. He was an Accounts Payable Clerk, employed by Packaging Specialties. Survivors:He was the husband of the late Majorie Smallman who died in 1993. He is survived by a sister, Ellen Joyce Tomlinson and a brother Harry Smallman, both of England; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His American family David and Lisa Martinez of Washington, NJ and many close friends. Services: Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
