Obituary of Jay Woods

Jay W. Woods, 84, of Washington, NJ passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Lopatcong Nursing Home, Loptacong, NJ. Jay was born on March 16, 1928 in Baxter Springs, KA. He was the son of the late Mr. James and Hannah (nee Osbourne) Woods. Jay was a graduate of NYU, New York City, NY. He was a banker for most of his life and before retiring he became the president of First National of South Orange, South Orange, NJ. He was also a special representative of the Federal Reserve Bank for sixteen years. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Maria ( Boni ) Woods. He is also survived by a daughter, Teresa Ann Treat and husband Noris of East Stroudsburg, PA, two grandchildren, Danielle and husband Eric and Nicole, and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ariana, and Ryan. Jay was one six, including three half brothers, one sister, and two half sisters. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
