Obituary of Henry Oram
Henry F. Oram, 81, of Oxford, NJ, passed away on March 17, 2008, at Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington, NJ. He was born on September 18, 1926 in Oxford, NJ to the late Henry and the late Beulah (Young) Oram. He proudly served in World War II in the Army Air Corps from 1945 to 1947. Henry attended Lafayette College graduating with a BS in Civil Engineering and was a licensed NJ Professional Engineer. He worked for CNJ and Conrail Railroads from 1952 until 1988 when he retired. He was also a lifetime member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. During his free time, Henry enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and assembling and fixing multiple things.
Survivors: He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Klimko Oram and two sisters, Christina Oram and Elsie Murray, Henry is survived by his son Gerald Oram of Lebanon, NJ; his son and his wife, David & Theresa Oram of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter and her husband, Janis & Joseph Schaefer of Lebanon Township, NJ; a brother and his wife, Charles & Sue Oram of Mabank, TX and his grandchildren Julia, Janelle, Caitlyn & Erik.
Services: Friends may call Wednesday, March 19 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ and from 10:00 am at the church. A church service will be held Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 am at Colonial United Methodist Church, Oxford. Interment will be Thursday in Hillside Cemetery, Oxford.
