Obituary of Walter Schellenberg
Walter A. Schellenberg, Jr. of Washington, NJ died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ at the age of 62. Born November 9, 1945 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of Mabel (Beattie) and the late Walter A Schellenberg, Sr.. He enjoyed working outside and on his cars; loved spending time with his grandson; and was an avid softball player when he was younger, winning an award for highest batting average. He was Employed as a US Postal Worker, employed by Hackettstown Post Office, Hackettstown, NJ.
Military: He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967. Memberships: He was a member of VFW Post 5119, Glen Gardner, NJ
Survivors: Predeceased by his father, Walter Schellenberg, Sr., he is Survived by his Wife, Barbara Schellenberg, Lebanon Twp, NJ; Mother, Mabel J Schellenberg, Mansfield, NJ; Daughter, Melissa Ballenilla, Wilson Boro, PA; and a Grandson , Evan Ballenilla.
Services: Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. Memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington A private cremation will be held on Tuesday at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, PA.

I remember his quick smile - could make anyone smile in response. I can still you you with a very big tummy walking from your home to the car about a month before Melissa was born.
