Obituary of Darla Irvine
Darla Marie Irvine, 62, of Belvidere, NJ passed away at St. Claire's Hospital on February 18, 2014.
She was born in Rahway, NJ on May 21, 1951 to George and Elizabeth (Saunders) Sammond. She attended the J.P. Stevens High School in Edison, NJ. She was married to Leonard Irvine for 44 years. She was employed by Genmac Communications in Washington, NJ as a secretary, She loved motorcycles and traveling to Sturgis, South Dakota for the motorcycle rallies. She also loved gardening. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother and her husband. She is also survived by her daughter Darla Leggio, Washington NJ, her son Leonard Irvine Jr, of Belvidere, NJ. She is also survived by her brothers, George Sammond, Bloomsburg, PA, Ronald Sammond of Edison, NJ, and Douglas Sammond of Downington, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Savannah, Sydney, and Gianna.
Cremation was held at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stoudsburg, PA. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The DeVoe Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please see www.devoefuneral.com for online condolences.
