Obituary of Jean Reeder
Jean Marie Dalrymple Reeder 63 of Oxford NJ, died Friday January 11, 2008 at Kindred St Claire's Hospital in Dover NJ. She was born on September 29, 1944 in Oxford NJ, She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Musick Dalrymple. Jean was the lead singer of a Country and Western band " the Cedar Ridge Boys" founded by her father Daniel. The played at the 1965 Worlds Fair in NY where they won an award for best music performance. Jean was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of St Rose of Lima's Roman Catholic Church in Oxford NJ and St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Belvidere NJ. She was an avid bingo player known by all at Harmony, Washington, Mt Bethel and Larry Holmes Bingo Halls.
Survivors: Jean is survived by her Ex-husband Donald Sr. a son Donald Jr., a daughter Jeannie D and her fiancée Steven McVey and a grandson Nicholas McVey all of Belvidere, 2 brothers, Jon Dalrymple and his sons Jon Jr., and Alex of Washington NJ and Daniel C Dalrymple of Oxford NJ.
Services: Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The DeVoe Funeral Services, Inc. 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ has been entrusted with her arrangements.
