I'm so sorry for your loss. My father, Bob Marrone, was from Lyndhurst and friends with "Butch." When I was a little girl he visited our home and made a big impression on me. He even gave me a couple of pet hamsters. It's been 40 years since I saw him, but I never forgot how kind he was to me. I'm so happy that he had a fulfilling life.

First to the family, I am so sorry you have lost the most important man in your life. I too loved my Uncle Butch so much and have wonderful memories of growing up in NJ and working after school and in the summers at his candy store he owned in Lyndhurst. He always seemed so cool to me and I loved him very much. Blessings and peace with you. Your niece, Jamie

Uncle Butch, You will be missed dearly by all who knew you.I will always remember Your Dutch uncle talks about telling me to keep on the straight and narrow. Your tales of your Navy and Merchant Marine days, and what I should not do. Good advice looking back now. I will miss your straight foreword no B.S. chats we had about life and all that goes with it. Rest Easy Uncle

It was wonderful to see Ron at our LHS Class Reunion. He truly wanted to attend and he tole me that he realy enjoyed himself. Ron was a unique man: intelligent, funny and sincere. I was happy to get a chance to talk with him one-on-one while he was in the hospital. We talked about our lives over these past 45 years. He told me how much he loved his children and grandchildren and wanted to spend time with them even though he was short tempered sometimes. It was a pleasure to have known him. He will be missed.

Here's to all of the memories we share--some we were able to share with others and some that only WE shared. We had both moved away but we stayed close at heart. I know you are now in a better place. May you rest in peace. I love you, Jim
