Obituary of Wayne Neil Palmer
Wayne Palmer, 71, of Oxford, NJ passed away on August 30, 2016.
Wayne was born in Oxford, NJ on December 28, 1945 to the late Alan and Etta (Hildabrant) Palmer. He graduated from Washington High School in 1963. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps where he served our country proudly in Okinawa. He became a plumber and worked for Link and Sons and Dave Gorab Plumbing. Later in life he drove for Northwest Abilities.
Wayne married Lorene Trimmer August 4, 1973. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a strong man and great provider for his family. He enjoyed bowling, cooking, watching Nascar (Jeff Gordon), and Giants football, but he loved fishing especially with his brother in law, Gar.
In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by two daughters; Lisa Hing of Danielsville, PA and Sharon Miller and her fiancé Jude Mohan of Washington, NJ, two sisters; Sharon Witner of Oxford, NJ and Linda Frey and her husband Gar of Laceyville, PA, and five grandchildren; Darien Jr, Michael, Joel, Jessica, and Rebekah. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; Brian, Sylas, Eleanor, Scarlet, Mason, and Owen and three nephews; Mark, Lee, and Jason. Wayne was preceded in death by his son Hoppy, Jr. and his niece Sherry Frey.
DeVoe Funeral Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. There will be a visitation on Friday September 2, 2016 from 6pm-8pm and a funeral service Saturday September 3, 2016 at 11am both to be held at DeVoe Funeral Home 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
