Obituary of Marcellus Kuhn

Marcellus Kuhn of Washington, NJ died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at His residence in Washington, NJ at the age of 76. Born June 25, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the Son of the late Marcellus and the late Anna (Marriot) Kuhn. Tributes: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tribute from: vincent lorandos I worked with Marty at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church when he first came there back in 1995 to be the organist. He and I became instant friends since we both loved music, especially church music. I had studied organ and voice a bit, so I became his assistant and also leader of song. Marty and I worked together at the parish for several years, and I was deeply blessed to have had him as both a mentor and friend/musician. He taught me a great deal about the organ and organ literature, and also his love of fishing and sailing!!! He was an avid boater and loved to go boating and fishing down at the docks or up at Lake Hopatcong. Marty was and is a dear friend, and I will miss him terribly. What I regret most is that I did not have the chance to say goodbye. I had been with him over the past several years as his health deteriorated, and I helped care for him in the hospital and at home. I pray that his family will be blessed in the knowledge that he is now in the presence of His dear Lord and Savior playing that organ and leading the angels in song and praise to his creator!!
