Obituary of Mary Pizzaia

Mary Pizzaia, 102 of Mansfield Twp. died at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

She was born in New Brunswick, NJ on November 20, 1916.  She was the daughter of the late August and Mary Teasa Anzolut.

Mary was of Catholic faith and attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Hampton, NJ.  She volunteered at Consolata Missions in Franklin, NJ.

She was at one time a Long Distance Telephone Operator for NJ Bell Telephone.

Her loving husband Rigo preceded her in death in 1998.

Surviving are her sons, Walter Johnstone of Amesbury, MA,  Donald Johnstone of Goldsboro, NC, Eugene Pizzaia of Jackson, NJ, Richard Pizzaia of Washington NJ,  and eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2019 from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am in St. Ann Catholic Church, 32 Main Street Hampton NJ. Interment to follow in the Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ.
