Obituary of Dominick Colaluce
Dominick Colaluce of New Village, NJ died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at his residence, New Village, NJ at the age of 84. Born August 20, 1922 in New Village, NJ. He was married to the late Mary Emma (Anderson) who passed away in 1999. He was the Son of the late Guisseppe and the late Filamena Colaluce. Dominick lived in New Village his whole life; An avid race fan; He flew airplanes & enjoyed flying his own airplane; loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding his 1976 Harley Davidson; He drilled wells to help establish the Warren County Farmers Fair and the Franklin Township school; Donated his well drilling rig to a church in Haiti so they could establish a fresh water source. He was a Well Driller for 50 years, self-employed by Dominick Colaluce Well Drilling, retiring in 1988.
Military: He served in the US Army during World War II in the Philippines.
Memberships: Member of NJ Water Well Association; Lifetime Honorary Member New Village Fire Company; Mecsey-Bishop American Legion Post #456.
Survivors: Two Sons, Donald Colaluce of Asbury, NJ and Joseph Colaluce of New Village, NJ; a Daughter, Marsha Yeager of New Village, NJ; a sister, Francis Schalk of Washington, NJ; three grandchildren, Corey & Justin Colaluce and Nick Gecsey.
He was Predeceased by his Wife, Mary Emma Anderson; four Brothers, Benjamin, Michael, Frank & Nicholas Colaluce, Sister, Rose Reed
Services: Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at DeVoe Funeral Services, Inc., 136 W. Washington Ave, Washington NJ. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Stewartsville Presbyterian Church, Stewartsville, NJ. Interment will be Monday in Stewartsville Presbyterian Cemetery, Stewartsville, NJ.
