Obituary of Martha Potter
Martha Potter, 82, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on June 27, 2015 with her daughter by her side. Martha is the daughter of the late Anna Mary Beam Potter and John Wesley Potter. Martha was born and raised in Port Colden, NJ and moved to Washington in 1960 where she lived for 55 years. She was baptized as an infant at the United Methodist Church in Port Colden, NJ and later joined the Washington Alliance Church where she was a member for over 40 years. Her faith was very important to her. She worked at various places in Washington including the blouse factory, American Can, and Mobil Chemical before retiring from Hagadorn Center For Geriatrics in Glen Gardener. Martha was predeceased by her parents Anna and John Potter; her brother, George Potter, her sister, Alice Potter Hildebrant, and a step brother Alex Beam. Martha is survived by her daughter, MaryAnn Mance (Elmer); grandson, Joe Mance, III (Bobby Jo); grandson, Nicholas Mance (Elise); grandson, Stephen Mance; grandson, Joshua Mance; granddaughter, Joykrystyna Mance; great-granddaughter, Alexa Mance; great-granddaughter, Arianna Mance; nephew, George Potter; nephew, John Hildebrant; niece, Anna Mae Collier; special friends Harriet Gawrilowicz, Louise Karl, Alda Maddison, and Pam Roberts; and many other nieces and nephews. A celebration of Martha's life will be held July 6, 2015, 1 p.m. at the Washington Alliance Church, 2112 Route 57, Washington, NJ 07882.
