Obituary of Janet Dux
Janet M. Dux, age 79, of Washington Township, NJ, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Warren Hospital of Phillipsburg, NJ. Janet was born December 30, 1930 in Washington, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Florence (Mutchler) Rupell. She was married to Robert F.Dux. She was employed by PNC as a bank teller for 26 years until her retirement in 1993. Janet Dux was a very active member of the United Methodist Church, Washington. She was the founder and first Washington Redskins Midget football cheerleader coach as well as a former crossing guard. Janet was a longtime volunteer at the local food pantry. She enjoyed hummingbirds and travel. She especially loved her sons and spending time with them. Along with her husband Robert, she is survived by her three sons: Robert C. and his wife Elizabeth of Budd Lake, NJ, John Thomas and his wife Marty of Reseda, CA and David Lee and his wife Betty of Washington, NJ and two grandchildren; David Michael and Lucas Charles, both of California. Janet is predeceased by her brother, Charles Dux. Calling hours will be Tuesday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at United Methodist Church, 116 East Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, at the church. Burial will immediately follow in Hillside Cemetery, Oxford.
