Obituary of Kelly Mejia
Kelly Rose Mejia, 51, of Phillipsburg, NJ formally of Jacksonville, FL and South Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2016.
She was born in Hoboken, NJ on February 26, 1965 to Robert and Joan (Andreacci) Hunter.
Kelly was the general manager of four McDonald's in Eastern New Jersey. She loved the beach and reading. She was a great cook and loved to bake. Kelly's passion was for her family and raising her beloved children. She had a very funny personality and was a member of St's. Phillip and James Roman Catholic Church.
Kelly is survived by her husband James and mother Joan Hunter; a son James and daughter Nicole both at home in Phillipsburg, NJ; brothers James Hunter and wife Sarah of Washington, NJ, Michael Rahill of Asbury, NJ and Robert Hunter of Phillipsburg, NJ; and a sister Karey Cooke and her husband Pete of Shrewsbury, MA. She was preceded in death by her father.
A viewing will be held on Friday December 30, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 10 am at the St's Phillip and James Roman Catholic Church 430 S. Main Street Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Cremation will follow at the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, PA.
