Obituary of Bruce Bednar
Bruce D. Bednar 60 of Annandale NJ died Saturday February 21 2015 surrounded by his loving family in Overlook Medical Center Summit, NJ.
Bruce was born in Boonton NJ December 18, 1954. He was the son of the late William Bednar and Gloria Kasak Bednar of Boonton N.J.
After high school Bruce joined the Marine Corp. Upon discharge he joined the Bonnton Twp Police force. Bruce, later joined the AT & T Security force. After retiring, he started his own Computer company called the Computer Guy in Annnandale NJ.
At the age of 8 years old he joined the Harmony Senior Drum Corp where he later held office as Sergeant of the Horn Section. Later he became Treasurer and President before retiring from the Corp.
He was former President of the Hunterdon Huskies football team. Under his term the Huskies were State Champions in 2006 and 2007. He was also a life member of the NRA. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman. he also loved boating and jet skiing. Bruce was a member of the Allerton United Methodist Church in Annandale. He also served on the Board of Trustees of the Church.
Above all his activities he loved and cherished his family most of all.
Surviving in addition to his mother Gloria are his loving wife the former Dawn Miller formerly of Washington. a son Michael and daughter Nicole both at home, a borther Robert and his wife Jan of Long Valley NJ, and a sister in law Kathleen Bednar of Denville NJ.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday February 25 in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. Calling hours will be in the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-8. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Montana Cemetery, Harmony Twp NJ.
