What I will remember most about Ardell is the love she had for her beautiful and caring granddaughter, Jena! I was Jena's second grade math teacher and became a close friend of the family. Throughout the years, on many occasions, I have been blessed to observe how very proud Ardell was of her Jena! At birthday parties, graduations, and even while shopping at the stores, you could feel the love they both carried in their hearts for one another. They were always there for each other when it mattered most! Yes, Ardell and Jena were best buddies to the end! Jena stayed by her beautiful and caring grandmother's side, holding her hand as she passed into eternal life at 3 am on Friday morning. If only the whole world could only experience their definition of true love what a better world this would be.
