Obituary of Elizabeth Secula

Elizabeth Secula, 92, of Washington Township, NJ, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in the Care Center Of Brakeley Park, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Elizabeth was born in Bridgeport, CT, a daughter of the late Joseph and the late Esther (Vesse) Benedek. She was a Presser, employed by Karen Lu Sportswear, Washington, NJ, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Oxford, NJ 07863. Survivors:Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Richard Secula of Washington, NJ and Robert Secula and his wife, Beverly of Bethlehem Twp., PA; a sister, Helen Lynch of Abiline, TX, a brother, Joseph Benedek of Riviera, AZ; three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Elizabeth’s husband, Joseph J. Secula, passed away in 1991 and her sister, Julia Pritchard passed away in 1997. Services: Friends and family may visit on Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 am at DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Oxford at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St Rose Of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Oxford.
