Obituary of John Seymour Reese

John Seymour Reese, age 80, of Washington Township, NJ passed on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. John was born July 11, 1939 in Port Colden, NJ. He is the son of the late Russell and the late Myrtle (Ward) Reese. He joined hands in marriage with Mary Elizabeth Reese on March 11, 1956 and was proud to have been married for sixty-three years. He was employed by Washington Township Road Department, he enjoyed bowling and was Cub Master in Troop 145. John also was the Washington Township Dog Catcher and a Special Police Officer. He is survived by his loving wife: Mary Elizabeth Reese; four sons: John Reese Jr., William Reese and his wife Meladye, Edward Reese and Robert Reese and his wife Tonya,; Brother of : Ruby Unangst; He also is survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, William Jr, Jacqui, Rebecca, Justin, Savannah, Mandy, Meghan, Kerri, Stacey, Christina and Elizabeth. John also has fourteen great grandchildren. His grandson Zachary predeceased him. Friends and relatives may gather with the family on Thursday, December 19 from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at12:00 PM at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ.
