My sincere belated condolences to the family. We had many good times together in the 1990s but more recently we fell out of touch as made apparent by this late posting!
He was a good man, and I will never forget him. May he be in a better place and at peace.

How can one memorialize Douglas James Dailey on a funeral home obituary post.....you can't, there's just not enough time or space to describe the kind of person Doug really was. Knowing Doug for 42 years I've shared countless life experiences with him looking back that will always put a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. Doug's personality would challenge your intellect and thought to a certain point of higher consciousness. During the teenage years, Doug and myself would always seem to stumble upon some harmless form of mischief or chaos that would always lead to endless laughter later on. Whether stealing beer kegs from fraternity parties, or driving a packed VW Beetle on a joy ride through deep mud in a public park.... Doug was always the guy you wanted next to you for these amazing fun times. Most people probably never realized how talented a musician Doug really was, playing both guitar and Bass. He had a natural ear and feel that would shine through during live playing that made him a good bandmate. Nicknames like... Brother D, Hoss, Dougie, Big Tumbleweed whatever you called him, this man was a true brother and friend that would defend you in any situation. I can go on forever writing about my brother Doug Dailey with my heart broken but I must conclude. Yes...Doug is gone....but it's the gift of spectacular memories and journeys is what he left to me, and all of us who were lucky to know him. (We will laugh again Doug.) My love goes to all the Dailey family, some with us.. some in a higher kingdom... they all shaped me to become the person I am today. Love Brother Carl, and my entire family.

I’m so very sad to hear of Doug’s passing. Although I haven’t seen him in a long time, I’ve thought of him often and always wished him well. I’ll always have fond memories of him. He could make me laugh like no other. Praying he rests in peace with God watching over him.

My favorite all time memory of brother Doug is when he was Father Doug! Coney’s Halloween party! He played the part so well! Diwi I know how close you two were and I can’t imagine how hard this is for you. Especially with every thing happening in the world right now I am sure is probably making it worse. Hang in there Diwi! RIP Brother Doug.Love Little Debbie

Brother Doug (Haasie) We walked through life unafraid and we did it our way. Douglas liked being his own boss, rock and roll music, playing his guitar and micro beers. Hassie liked to make a splash at parties and he really knew how to tell a good story. You will be sorely missed my brother. Rest in peace.

Thinking about the kind and talented man who was my mentor and coworker for several years, and who recommended me the best local beers. His passion for self education will continue to inspire me as it has for so long. Doug and his family are in our hearts. - Spencer and Eryn Shack
