Obituary of Patrina G Hann

Patrina G. Hann, age 86 of Tinton Falls, NJ formerly from Washington, NJ and South Orange, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2020, while staying at the home of her daughter in Highlands, NJ.

Patrina was born in Newark, NJ to the late Edward and Anna D’Alessandro as the New Year’s Baby on January 1, 1934. She was a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1952. While her husband was in the Air Force, they started their family living in Missouri and Louisiana, settling down in Washington, NJ, her husband’s home town. Patrina retired from Mobil Chemical where she was an Executive Secretary for the Engineering Department. After retirement, she worked part time in Hackettstown, NJ for Dr. John Giuliana and Dr. Gary Quartello as a podiatrist assistant.

She was an active member of the Republican Party and served on the Board of Elections in both Warren and Monmouth County. Later in her life, she moved to Seabrook Village, an Erickson Living retirement community in Tinton Falls, NJ. While there, she was involved in many clubs and volunteer organizations and won a M.O.V.E.R Award for her outstanding involvement and contributions. She loved walking and painting and won many accolades for her oil paintings displayed in the Annual Seabrook Village art show. They now grace the walls of her children’s homes.

She is survived by her sister Marie Cook of Tinton Falls, NJ, son Gary L. Hann Jr. of Washington, NJ, granddaughter Jessica and Peter DeMartini of Newton, NJ, her great grand daughter and son, Savannah and Gunner DeMartini, grandson Marc Hann and his partner Ashley of Jamestown, NY, her great grandson Auron Hann, her daughter and son-in-law Karyn and Robert Mayers of Highlands, NJ, her son and daughter-in-law Wesley and Susan Hann of Mt. Bethel, PA, grandson Wesley and Nicole Hann of Belvidere, NJ, grandson Dr. Jesse Hann and his finance Katie Carter of Mt Bethel, PA. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Gary Leon Hann and her grandson, Gary “Buddy” Hann.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in her name. At her request, the family will have a private ceremony at a later date where she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Washington Cemetery.
