Obituary of Anthony Luongo
Anthony "Tony" Luongo, age 58, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center located in Morristown, NJ. Anthony was born September 30, 1962 in Bayonne, NJ, to the late Angelo Luongo and the late Dorothy (nee Soriano) Luongo.
Anthony was a graduate of St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, NJ and went on to attend Rutgers University. On June 23, 1990, Anthony married the love of his life, Diane (nee Terracciano). Together they raised 3 beautiful children together. Anthony was a very loving husband and devoted father. He worked as a CDL driver for Region Energy in Dover, NJ.
Anthony was a huge football fan, he enjoyed playing fantasy football and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He had a bigger than life personality and was always the life of the party. Anthony had many close and lifelong friends. Anthony was a dedicated and proud family man, who was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Anthony will be forever missed by his beloved wife, Diane (nee Terracciano) Luongo; son, Anthony Robert Luongo; daughter, Natalie Ellen Luongo; sisters, Antoinette Farina, Dorothy Bladt and her husband Stephen; brother-in-law, David Terracciano; in-laws, Diane and Walter Terracciano; many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Anthony is predeceased by his precious daughter, Gillian Luongo; parents, Angelo and Dorothy Luongo; brother, Robert Teorie; and sister, Dr. Maryann Luongo.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Friday February 19th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882. Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately by the family at Saint Theodore Catholic Church in Port Murray, NJ. Entombment will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union NJ.
