Obituary of Mollie Stopard

Mary Mollie Stopard, 91, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Saint Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus. She was born on August 19, 1930, in Keighley, Yorkshire England, and was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (née McKniff) Bardgett. 

Mollie came to America in 1968, aboard the SS France and resided in many states before settling in Washington, NJ. She married her beloved husband Christopher Stopard, on December, 16 1967. Together they raised two children, Angela and Judith.

Mollie was a woman of great faith, she belonged to the Bunnvale Assembly God Church in Califon, NJ. She enjoyed swimming, dancing, clogging and generally anything to make people smile. She liked making everyone around her laugh, whether it was with her or AT her.

Surviving are her children: daughters, Angela, Judith, and Carole; son, Garry; stepdaughters, Gillian, Kathryn, and Denise; grandchildren, Cas, Bethany, Skylar, Aiden, and Luke and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren both in America and England.

Mollie was predeceased by her husband Chris and brothers Jack and Donald Bardgett.
