Obituary of Maureen D. Richards

Maureen D. Richards, 75, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Thursday May 18, 2023, at New Eastwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Easton, PA. She was born on September 22, 1947, in Concord, MA. Maureen was the daughter of the late Eugene and the late Jean Mae (née Thurston) Sjoblom.

Maureen married her beloved husband, David Richards on July 6, 1976. Together they raised 2 children, a son Jason and daughter Melissa. Maureen was a woman of great faith, she was mother, wife, great big sister, and a doting grandmother.

Maureen is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, David C. Richards; son, Jason Richards and his companion Virginia Gray; daughter, Melissa Richards; granddaughter, Madison Macialek; sisters, Lee D. Langone and her husband Richard and Marie Ann Breland; stepchildren, David S. Richards and Tammy Richards. 

Maureen was predeceased by her sister Donna Kurant.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, May 24th, from 10:00 AM until the service begins at 12:00 PM, at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882. Interment will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
