Obituary of Mary Ann Martin
Mary Ann Martin (nee Sadorski) passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital Warren Campus, on July 12th, 2023 with her children by her side. Mary was one of eight children born on December 8th, 1939 in Somerville, New Jersey. Mary was raised in Whitehouse Station, NJ and attended Hunterdon Central High School. In 1957 Mary married her sweetheart Henry Martin and together they raised a beautiful family with a son Michael and two daughters Laurie Ann and Sandy. Over the years Mary had many jobs but being the best mother she could always came first. In the past tending bar at the VFW in Glen Gardner was one of her most enjoyable jobs. Mary loved being able to talk to everyone and was always there to share a laugh.
Growing up during the 40’s and 50’s as a child had many perks especially for Mary who loved the music of Elvis Pressley and got to experience his whole discography as it was released and played on the radio. She was also a fan of country western music. Mary was an avid fan of NASCAR and her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo and was quick with the dotters. She also enjoyed Atlantic City with her family and friends and loved the excitement of the casinos. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Mary will be forever missed by her beloved children: Michael Martin and his wife Victoria, Laurie Ann Subbe and her husband Peter, and Sandy Martin. She is also survived by grandchildren: Mark, Monica, Sarah, Jonathan, Ashley and great-grandchildren: Nash, Carson, Jayden Rose, Joel and Lyla with one more on the way. Mary is also survived by her sister Marge.
Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Henry Martin and by her parents Anthony Sadorski and Malvina Sadorski.
A graveside service will be offered on Saturday July 22nd, 2023 at 1 pm at the Rural Hill Cemetery located on Old Route 28 in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 5119, Glen Gardner, NJ 08826, In Memory of Mary Martin. Please Click Here to Donate
