Obituary of Sandra Joyce Jennings
Sandra “Sandy” Joyce Jennings, 80, formerly of Washington, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 2nd, 2024. Sandy was born to the late Earl and Amelia Relyea in Oneonte, New York where she was raised. Sandra was married to the Late Howard Hart and together they had three children Dawn, Howard, and Amy. Throughout her life Sandra held various jobs first with Mobile Chemical, then with Lipton Tea, and worked for many years at M&M Mars as a factory worker before her retirement. In 1985 Sandy was married to the late Edwin Jennings with whom she spent over 30 years until his passing in 2019.
Sandy’s love for her family could never so simply be put into words but her memory will live on in their hearts forever. Sandy was a fun loving woman and always sought to make those around her smile. Later in her life, Sandy loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed having a house filled with family and of course her beloved dogs Max and Moo Moo. Some of her children’s favorite memories with Sandy go back to all of the camping trips they took together and the fun times they would have on their vacations. Sandy also enjoyed relaxing and listening to country music throughout her life.
Sandy will be forever missed by her daughter Dawn Grover her husband Dale, daughter Amy Hart her husband Bryan, son Howard Hart of Shoemakersville, PA, grandchildren: Ashley Hart, Amber Swierat, Austin Hart, Howie Hart, Brittney Cassidy, and Brielle Hart, and by 8 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Sandra is predeceased by her first husband Howard Hart, second husband Edwin Jennings, and by her parents Earl and Amelia Relyea.
Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Monday January 8th, 2024 from 5pm until 7pm and again Tuesday January 9th, 2024 from 10am until 11am at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey, 07882. A Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday January 9th, 2024 at 11am at the funeral home, following the service Sandy will be laid to rest at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery located in Hampton, New Jersey.
