Obituary of Richard Joseph Sattely, Jr.
Richard “Ric” Joseph Sattely Jr., 75, of Washington, New Jersey passed away at his home after a long battle with lung cancer on May 28th, 2024. Ric was born in Teaneck, New Jersey to loving parents the late Richard and Jean Sattely. Ric graduated from Morris Catholic High School in 1966. Ric was a loving father to his son Richard Charles Sattely, and a devoted husband to his wife Adair Moore-Sattely. Throughout his life Ric worked many jobs from dog grooming, to roofing, to carpentry, to becoming a jeweler. As a carpenter he worked for Always Room for Improvements and as a jeweler he had the pleasure of working for himself. Ric had a passion for animals and could be considered an animal rescue hero saving countless cats and dogs from harm. He was especially fond of his puppy Fonti. Ric also was a talented musician and could play the guitar and piano and enjoyed listening to classical music.
Ric will be forever missed by his beloved wife of 20 years Adair Moore-Sattely, his son Richard Charles Sattely, and by his puppy Fonti and 24 Cats.
Ric is predeceased by his parents Jean Sattely and Richard Sattely.
A Memorial Service of Remembrance for Ric will be held on Tuesday June 4th, 2024 at 7pm at the Abundant Life Community Church located at 21 Cherry Tree Bend Road, Port Murray, New Jersey, 07865.
