Obituary of Alice Zeigler
On June 19, 2024, at the age of 89, Alice Zeigler, a beloved mother and grandmother, affectionately known to all as Nanny, passed away peacefully in bed with family at her side, bringing a sense of comfort and closure to those who loved her.
Born September 18, 1934, to the late Nelson and Mildred Sutton, Alice was a caring and loving woman who was active with the church, loved to read, and cherished children. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, George Zeigler, with whom she shared 42 happy years, her brothers Nelson, Earl, and Donald Sutton, her sisters Bernice Rush and Kathryn Kindrew and her grandson Nelson W. Zeigler, Jr.
She is survived by her brothers Elmer, Tony, and Joey Sutton and step-brothers Tom and Pat Geziz, her children (and their spouses) Alice (Ted), Elaine, Lou Ann, Sharon (Pete), George (Kathi), Albert (Luanne), Nelson, and John, and 64 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren that she was blessed with as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her loved ones will remember her as the no-nonsense, strong-willed woman she was, who cared deeply and loved even more deeply.
