Henry, Debbie and family, Please accept our deepest sympathies in the passing of your father. When were trying to move into our house the township blocked our CO due to trees that were blocking our driveway sight line. The trees were on your fathers property and we had to get your father to cut them down. Hank was not obligated to do so but he went right out and cheerfully cut down the trees. We had a two month old baby at the time and Hank came over to see him and always asked how he was doing. We had a big blizzard the first winter we were here and Hank plowed our driveway. He always had a kind word and we missed him when he moved away.

I have faint childhood memories of Hank being the life of the PBA picnics. It wasn't until I was in my 30s when my family and I moved to Puerto Rico for 3 years for work that I came to personally know Hank and Norgin. Hank was a true gentleman who loved his wife, children and grandchildren very much. This was evident by the many stories and photos he shared with us while we visited his home in PR. Whenever we visited, he treated my son as if he were his own grandchild and he and Norgin welcomed us with open arms, with Hank always having a "cold one" waiting for me when I walked in. It was comforting having Hank and Norgin just a short drive away when we were thousands of miles away from home. Hank and Norgin had built a beautiful home on top of a mountain with priceless views of the Atlantic Ocean. As I think about Hank and those views of the ocean from his house, I know that he is resting peacefully in Heaven now. Thank you for your hospitality and the friendship you shared with Amy and I. We will see you again one day.

I was the Court Court for Central Warren Court. Hank was my favorite officer and he was always ready to go to NY and bring my husband George, and I knishes from NYC. As a transplanted Brooklynite I enjoyed HanK and his jokes. A good man, a good soldier and a good policeman. RIP. Audrey Schmidt

My first encounter with "Hank", Officer Rios was when I was 17 in 1979. I was driving around in my car with friends on Brass Castle rd when I saw the police car lights. So I pulled over. Hank and his partner asked for license etc... I was so scared as it was my first pullover. Then he said ok everyone out of the car, I was like uh oh . They asked if we were drinking which we werent,my father was the Mayor of washington ,no the mayors daughter didnt drink,they looked through the car then let us go. Little did i know in the 80s I would become great friends with his wife working at M&M together and my husband and Hank would hunt together in NY as we had property not too far from theirs. We would later visit in Puerto Rico,they picked us up in San Juan and I was so scared on the ride to Isabella with Hanks driving i left a bruise on my husbands leg squeezing so hard! Fond memories... Rest in Peace our dear friend........

Hank and Norgin with their family were our neighbors in Washington Township. I have many great memories but the one I will never forget is when I could not find a Cabbage Patch doll for my young daughter and told Hank about it. He went all over, found the doll and brought it over to her and would not take the money for it. That's a true friend! So sorry to all the family for your loss.
