Obituary of Patricia Ann Rush

Patricia Ann Rush (Miller), age 83, of Hampton NJ, passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at the Hunterdon Care Center Flemington NJ.  Patricia was born on November 11, 1937 in Allentown Pa to the late Evlyn Jones (Easterday). Daughter of David Kenner.

Patricia was a long time resident of Hampton, NJ.  She married the love of her life Darwin Lester Rush and they formed a marital union of more than 56 years. Patricia was a strong willed and confident woman who loved her family and would do anything for them. She worked for many years prior to retiring from the Bethlehem Twps. School District as a cafeteria worker. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved to read books.  She was very fond of animals and loved all the pets she had through her life. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Patricia  is survived by her loving husband Darwin Lester Rush, her sons, Michael William Rush and wife Nancy of Killeen Texas, Dale Stephen Rush and wife Cynthia of Phillipsburg NJ, Mark Edward Rush of Hampton NJ, David Allen Rush of Avenel NJ, and a daughter Lisa Ann Toles  and husband William of Skowhegan Maine.  She is also survived by her brother Robert Miller and wife Sharon of Pennsylvania, sister in law Francis Rush of Alpha NJ and loving grandchildren, Rachel McCoskey, Jeremy Toles, Grace Toles, Joshua Toles, Krystle Rush, Dale Michael Rush, Jessica Smith, James Rogers, Jason Rogers, Candace Ritchie, Kevin Gabel and her 17 great grandchildren.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, son Darwin Lester Rush Jr, daughter Kimberly Ann Rush, brother in law George Homa, brother and sister in law Daryl and Marie Rush and brother and sister in law Eugene and Leona Walls. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family on Friday morning April 16, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00 pm at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882.  Burial will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery 108 Valley Road Hampton NJ.
